On Wednesday, for fun and for practice, me and Dallas decided to have a little fashion shoot. Dallas braved big dogs and mosquitos (to which she is highly allergic!) to allow me to get some of these shots, so I have to thank her for being a trooper. Also, thanks to her friend Scott Everett Allen for letting us shoot on his family’s property. And to her fiancé Ed White, I hope you like these!

Just wanted to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to my sister Michelle Carino on her graduation. Today, she received a BFA degree in Graphic Design from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, and we expect great things from her! Love ya, sis!
The UH Manoa BFA show opened up on Sunday, April 25, 2010. My sister won a couple of awards for her and her group?s graphic design work, so my mother and I flew up to see the opening ceremonies. Here are some highlights.
Jessica Kato wed Tim Chang in a beautiful ceremony at the Royal Hawaiian on December 30, 2009. We’re so glad they let us be a part of their wedding, and we were honored to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful couple. Having done an engagement session with them in July, working with them for their wedding was a breeze. Except for the tropical downpour that immediately followed their ceremony, and I mean it was pouring buckets, everything went off without a hitch. So without further ado, here are some of my favorites from that day:
Sorry for being so MIA. I’ve been quite busy after moving to Maui and beginning work full time, and it’s been more than a little stressful. I’ll be posting some photos I’ve shot between then and now. In the meantime, here’s something to look at from yesterday.
I had the chance to catch up with an old friend recently and wound up shooting some family portraits for her and her family at their beautiful beach front home. It was the first family portrait they’ve had done in a long time, so I really hope they like these. Here are some samples from our session.
