Kato Chang Wedding – December 30, 2009

Jessica Kato wed Tim Chang in a beautiful ceremony at the Royal Hawaiian on December 30, 2009. We’re so glad they let us be a part of their wedding, and we were honored to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful couple. Having done an engagement session with them in July, working with them for their wedding was a breeze. Except for the tropical downpour that immediately followed their ceremony, and I mean it was pouring buckets, everything went off without a hitch. Congratulations Krystal and Chris!

Today Dallas, Mike O., and I covered the Sakata Lee wedding ceremony at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. I had worked with Krystal for about a year at Shidler College of Business’s External Relations Office, and she taught me a lot about graphic design. Needless to say, all of us thoroughly enjoyed working with the fun-loving couple, even if it meant waking up at 5:00 a.m. to shoot the ceremony only event. Saturday Shootaround Samba

The relentless mugginess, bewildered children, and occasional errant driver weren’t enough to stop us from getting some proper photos and footage. To my surprise, my decrepit 35mm adapter held together for another shoot. I suppose I’ll put off that upgrade for a little while longer.

Saturday Shootaround

On Saturday, I went out with Dallas, Mike O., and several other friends for a little shootaround. Although it was slightly overcast, the heat and humidity still made for a tiring walk. We started in Chinatown and got to Golden Coin in Kalihi before turning around. Here’s a few snapshots from our outing.
